Wotcha Everyone,

Any of you got any idea whether the DVD supposedly filmed at the Scarbrough Castle gig is ever going to see the light of day?

It's still listed on the Secret Records website as due for release in 2006, but nothing more specific than that.

Surely someone somewhere must have some footage of the Scarborough gig, or at the very least an audio bootleg. Surely?

I think any recording from the crowd would be of poor quality as it was a sing along the entire gig. That DVD has to come out at some point. They put a lot of money into those cameras etc.

But then since when did the Wildhearts worry about money?

I want to see it though.
Isn't it ironic that not many people know the meaning of the word esoteric?

Ginger said the project was a "headache."

Hopefully he will have time to finish it after he is done with the new record. Makes me think of all the kickass rock footage sitting on shelves that will never see the light of day.

All I know is that I drank so much beer and scotch at the show and was so wind burned that I looked like Freddy Kruger

I wonder if the dvd will feature extras such as footage of the beer line stretching all the way down the east coast to Filey!! :P
I'll be gutted if the Scarborough dvd is indeed, the last will and testament of The Wildhearts as that would rate as one of the worst gigs I have ever seen them do.
Wrong location, wrong line-up and wrong time of year. :(

The daft thing is that I nearly re - arranged my hols so I could go to Scarboro. Then I had a moment of clarity and thought there was bound to be a fuck up somewhere along the line so it wouldn't be worth it.

I wonder where the cunts who did off with all the money are now?

In Court, according to the Scarborough Today newspaper.

Unless money could be found for the people who did the filming, I'm guessing we won't see the DVD anytime soon. Hope I'm wrong. It was a wonderful day for fans, but I could totally see how it was a headache for everyone else...
