Best B-Side?

Postby Dave C » 2nd Jul 06, 17:48

Which do you think is the Wildhearts best ever b-side?

Personally I love OCD, probably the Wildies finest recorded moment.

god , hmmm very tough question.

29x the pain
show a little emotion
mindslide
hate the world day
beautiful thing you

just to name a few lol

The Wildhearts were just too good at writing songs and making music the fact that them 5 songs are only b-sides not to mention the other 30 odd others that are truley classic.

Don't think i could pick just the one either

29x The Pain
Cheers
Sky Chaser High
Bad Time to be Having a Bad Time
And the Bullshit goes on

Nope i can think of a few more that loads of bands would kill to have for A sides never mind b sides.

I like all these ones, and think they'd make a wicked Best of the B-sides.

Beautiful Thing You
Bad Time to be Having a Bad Time
Hate the World Day
Shut Your Fucking Mouth
Friend for Five Minutes
White Lies
Zomboid
Putting it On
Bang
Action Panzer

I have to agree, two way idiot mirror is my fav wildhearts song ever(closely followed by everlone). its also never ever played live which is a shame. seems to be a forgotten gem of a song.

I saw it played live at Ginger's 37th birthday at the Garage. It was a bit good!

Other songs played that night included Can't do right for doing wrong, Got it on Tuesday, Hate the World Day and Friend for 5 minutes. Rather spanking!

Bloody 'ell!!! TWIM is by far my favorite B side also, and only second overall to "Shoes". There is some fine musical taste on this here board!!

Have you heard the acoustic version recorded at Camden Barfly '02....fucking ace!!!....and rather amusing to hear Ginger getting the crowd to fill in with "do do's".

Chees, Keith.
cause the chances are good that it wont let you down, like maybe drinking with Keith, or seeing Dolly Parton's tits...

I'm sure that DINGWALL can help you out. If only that gig had been recorded professionally........Surpassed only by "Potatoes" in my view.

Presumably, you'll be at the Bastille on the 5th?

Nah, AAAAARRRRRGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I canny make it to the gig, I am completely and utterly skint. Was made redundant a month ago and just recently got a new job. Won't get paid until the 28th of July. I know it's only bout £10 for a ticket but I ain't got a spare quid.

Nevermind, just need to hear about it from all the lovely folks on here. It would have been the 5th time I'd seen an acoustic show anyway. I'm sure there will be a next time soon.
