Endless, Nameless

Postby Andy_Must_Be_Destroyed » 24th Jul 06, 23:22

Hey

I'm a huge, but generally inexpierenced fan of The Wildhearts and Ginger.

And basically what I want to know is whether Endless, Nameless is a worthy buy.

I really enjoyed Earth Vs., P.H.U.Q, The Wildhearts ust Be Destroyed and Riff After Riff.

so I'm not sure whether to buy it.

Thanks

(Sorry if this is a bit lame, it's my first post, and great news about Geordie In Wonderland!!!)

Read this interview, what better recommendation could you get? It's next to the 4th photo if you can't be bothered to read it all, but it's a good read.

I'd say the truth is that if you own all of the other Wildhearts records and like them, but have no idea what Endless Nameless sounds like, you're probably better hearing it first just to be on the safe side. It's not for everyone...

I must admit it took me ages to get into it cos of the "white noise" sound over everything but now i really like loads of the stuff on it. the song i dont like is sounddog babylon but stuff like urge, anthem and pissjoy are great

I say buy it, its a great album that just takes a while to get into. Try listening to Anthem first, or a live version of Urge (took me dozens of listens before that song "clicked" in my head..)

Oh... :( I love that tune... Particularly the bit where it breaks down and goes all drum and bass. That bit's awesome! I wished they'd plumbed that vein a little more... (can you guess one of my fave bsides is Zomboid! )

It took me ages to get Endless Nameless. One day I got it, it was a great day.
I love Endless now, it's a great, great CD.

I just got into it in the last month or so

It kicks ass, it's a really greasy, dirty, fucked up sound that really doesn't give a rat's ass if anyone likes it or not.

Beware the noise spikes though, or you may just need some new speakers ;)
