Trudi, I think I might have tapped you on the head by accident. Sorry.

No worries - I wasn't exactly perched in a sensible place at the time! :)

Damian wrote:Wow. THAT was a gig! I was a bit drunk by the end of it though, so apologies to those who I met for drinks in the Novotel afterwards because I talked a lot, and probably over other people as well. Still, I got the hangover I deserved! Left the hotel at midday exactly (i.e. the latest checkout time).

We were all a bit drunk at the hotel! Great to see you and Teresa again, and also great to see Luke and Keith and Keith's brother (sorry, as i say, i was a little drunk and can't remember your name). But you're all lazy gits, we were out at 6.15
The band were incredible, so fucking tight - which bodes well for the new album i think. I really enjoyed the Goddams, Jon Poole is a class frontman, Sam wasn't too impressed by them tho. Too Cardiacs was her quote.
But all in all a sterling night!
Oh, and hi to Ean, didn't see you after the gig to say bye. hope you had a great time.
Merry Christmas everybody!!!

I missed the part where that's a bad thing! :D

Mind you, I find them more like Wildhearts than Cardiacs. Especially lyrically. Compare the lyrics of "We're The New Gods" to, say, "A Horse's Tail" (once of the few Cardiacs songs Jon wrote)...

For my Christmas treat, I'm going to order the Japanese edition!

Nice pictures Trudi! That reminded me as I forgot to say before, I thought Scott Sorry was great. Fitted in perfectly. I like the way he didn't have any of the new boy reticence - he was throwing himself around like a good 'un.
