Screaming Tarts presents... Sorry And The Sinatras + The Fake Exterior + The Idol Dead.
Stereo, York. Thursday April 8th 2010.

Sorry and the Sinatras is the new band featuring Scott Sorry (Wildhearts, Amen, Brides of Destruction), Lenny Thomas (Trashlight Vision), Dave Kerr and Rich Jones. The boys have woven a guitar driven mix of country, trash, blues, garage and other words, ROCK-N-ROLL. Continuing in the tradition of artist like the New York Dolls, Jason and the Scorchers, The Rolling Stones, Supersuckers, Social Distortion, Rocket from the Crypt, the Ramones, and of course, Johnny Cash, SATS doesn't plan on re-inventing the wheel, to the contrary, "We just want to play the music we love."

Rising up from the Peterborough underground in 2007 like a snarling melodic beast, The Fake Exterior have wasted no time in establishing themselves as one of the UK’s most promising rock bands. In 2008 the band decamped to FEAR STUDIOS deep in the Italian mountains to record their critically acclaimed self-financed debut album ‘Bad Movie....Great Soundtrack’. The album was a victory for creative freedom, dynamic song writing and the kind of powerful yet emotive musical delivery most bands fail to fully realise in a studio, resulting in 14 knockout punches of modern anthemic melodic punk metal. Helping to propel them into the music industry spotlight, the album was picked up by various magazines, webzines and radio stations across the country before eventually finding its way into the hands of KERRANG! RADIO DJ Loz Guest who declared it an instant personal favorite.
Fast forward to the present day and 2010 is gearing up to be a massive year for the thunderous 3-piece. The addition of a new drummer, spring and summer tours planned and the writing already in full swing for album number 2, The Fake Exterior are ready to don their gloves and go toe-to-toe with the UK scenes biggest hitters!

They crawled from the wreckage, blinking and confused - it was the 21st Century and the world need a lift. Fed up with shoe gazing, introspection and everyday rock stars, two men met in a seedy bar in Leeds. Between them they hatched a plan to bring big big riffs, Ebola-catchy melodies and the glamour of confusion back the live circuit. Looking for partners in crime for this deconstruction of music, they searched the world for like mind souls. They found their bass player in the skeletal underworld of Gaudi’s Barcelona, he’s name was Miguel and he was ready to take up the challenge. Next stop New Zealand, where they found their drummer hidden deep in the mysterious mountains, just waiting to unleashed. The circle was complete, the riffs were big and the melodies to-die-for. Ladies and gentlemen I give you - THE IDOL DEAD.

£6 advance / £8 on the door.
