The message from the label on 22th :

>Yes we had a few unexpected problems, but the cds should all be sent out by the end of the week

So we can imagine that the release date will be postponed 1 week later....

I finally have my copy of this record. My take on it is that the first side is every bit as good as what has gone before, and the second side is just exceptional. Yay Willie. As usual.

My first few listens were a bit bewildering, and if I'm honest slightly underwhelming, but I noted at that point that tracks 4 (We Sold it All.. absolute showstopper of a tune), then 6-10 (Someone Who Cares, Wonderful, Pornography, The Great Unknown, Baby I'm A Killer) were fucking outstanding ( a better run of songs than those last 5 you couldn't ask for)

I've grown to love the first 3 tracks, though initially 'The Eternal Struggle..' didn't quite live up to SOOMA as an opener, and 'Wire To The Wire' as the odd track out wasn't quite up there with 'Jesus Wants My Soul Back'

'Everyone Becomes The Road They Take' is incomparable to any of their older tracks, and now stands out as an excellent song in it's own right, but track 5 (Waiting To Die) seemed a little bit too similar to some previous songs to really grab my attention, again it's a good song in it's own right but feels a bit too familiar.

Overall though, I do try to listen to things as they are, rather than dwelling on what they aren't, or rather comparing them to what my expectations of them were, and on that basis it's a bloody excellent album!
